
ABOUT ME
Praised for his “limitless palette of colours” and “technical mastery and authority”, the Italian pianist Nicolas Ventura is making his name as one of the most interesting pianist of his generation.
His performances have taken him to renowned venues including Cadogan Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, the Jacqueline Du Pré Music Building in Oxford, Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona, Fazioli Concert Hall and Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Teatro Manzoni in Pistoia, Sölitar at Mozarteum in Salzburg, Florianka Concert Hall in Kraków among many others.
Nicolas recently made his London debut performing Prokofiev Third Piano Concerto with YMSO under James Blair, described as “monumental” (Christopher Axworthy Music Commentary). He recently shared the stage with artist as Michael Guttman and members of the New York Philharmonic, and collaborated with orchestra as the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Chioggia, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau and the Danube Symphony Orchestra.

Prize-winner of the Concours Ile-de-France, Nicolas is sought after by numerous festivals and recently appeared in such as Patmos Music Festival, Giortes Rokka, Bartolomeo Cristofori Piano Festival, Oxford Piano Festival, Mid-day Manchester Concert Society and many others. He is Delphian Records recording artist and will debut in 2026 with his first commercial album "Origins" with music by Prokofiev and Bloch.​

Deeply committed to the development of a well-rounded artistic identity, Nicolas has extended his work beyond the piano. As an active transcriber with his piano versions of works by Prokofiev and Copland, and as a conductor, directing various ensembles and orchestras. Since 2023 he is the founder and artistic director of “Lunis Symphonia”, a unique chamber music festival in Liguria (Italy) which promotes and unifies music and the Roman historical and archaeological heritage.

Born in Carrara, Nicolas is an alumni of the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music in London. He studied with Konstantin Bogino, Tatiana Sarkissova and Dina Parakhina. He currently specialises with Roberto Prosseda, and had important musical influences from such artists as Boris Berman, Benedetto Lupo, Dmitri Alexeev, Ian Jones and Arie Vardi.
During the years Nicolas has been the recipient of many awards among which the Diploma of the Royal Academy of Music for and outstanding performance in his final recital. In 2023, he has been awarded the Oleg Prokofiev Award by the Oleg Prokofiev Trust for his work on the composer’s music.​

Nicolas has been appointed Visiting Piano teacher at Trinity School, Croydon.​​
